Bumblebees are common insects in gardens. They also play an important role as pollinators thus providing a vital ecosystem service. However since 1970s the Bumblebee populations in Europe have decreased. In addition bumblebees are sensitive to climate, in part through their geographically varying interactions with other pressures, such as land use and pesticide use.
