Rectors Conference 2022

The BUP and Uppsala University have the pleasure to welcome the rectors of our participating universities to the sixth BUP Rectors Conference held in Uppsala on the 28-29 September 2022. Our rectors are cordially invited.

With 96 participating universities, the BUP is one of the largest and most dynamic university networks worldwide. For 30 years, the BUP has assembled and supported colleagues, researchers and students by offering and contributing to a platform for collaboration related to sustainability in the Baltic Sea Region. This conference is a fantastic opportunity to further this work- by creating and furthering both old and new contacts, continuing internationalisation and by providing the ability to learn more about the BUP.

This particular conference will focus on three dedicated issues:

  • Sustainability
  • Internationalisation
  • Quality Assurance

The chancellor of Uppsala University, Anders Hagfeldt, warmly extends this invitation. Anders has been Vice-Chancellor of Uppsala University since 2021 and is a Professor of Physical Chemistry. He has published many papers in this field and has joined Uppsala, following a stint at The Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne.
