The Baltic University Programme sets sail again!

After three years break due to the COVID-19 pandemic and war in the region, the BUP summer school for students is now returning and we are happy to invite students to the BUP Science and Sail 2023 that takes place 3-9 July in Klaipėda, Lithuania.

Science and Sail is a new concept of the BUP summer school that will partly take place onboard a tall ship. The focus of the summer school will be on the Baltic Sea Environment, where students will be spending a week in Klaipėda, doing daily excursions along the coast, the Curonian Spit, and onboard Klaipėda University’s tall ship Brabander.

The summer school welcomes bachelor and master students from all scientific disciplines studying at BUP participating universities. The week-long summer school will be a unique possibility to learn the fundamentals of Baltic Sea Environment while studying in an international environment, with some of the leading experts in the field.

As well as understanding the importance it has for the societies and economies of our region” says Pontus Ambros, Project administrator at the BUP’s Coordinating Secretariat.
