Welcome to one of the biggest academic networks in the world - the Baltic University Programme (BUP)! The Programme has for 28 years been active in the drainage area of the Baltic Sea Region - promoting openness, internationalization, mobility and cooperation among universities in the region.
The main aim is to support building strong regional educational and research communities. Since the start BUP has gathered over two hundred universities in the region and eased cooperation and friendships between students, researchers and academic teachers.

The BUP PhD Award 2021 is open for nomination
The Baltic University Programme (BUP) PhD Award for best thesis, supports high quality research promoting sustainable development in a Baltic Sea region context. The award is established in two research areas; Natural Sciences, Technology and Engineering, as well as Social Sciences and Humanities.

The Baltic Science Network (BSN) Mobility Programme for Research Internships, BARI, continues in spring 2021
BARI offers research internships with appropriate academic training across the Baltic Sea Region to Bachelor and Master students with interest in Life Sciences, Photon & Neutron Science and Welfare State.

BUP PhD Thesis Award winners 2020
The announcement of the winners of the BUP PhD thesis award, has been published in the BUP Newsletter. There, we proudly presented the winners of the BUP PhD thesis award 2020. The winners of the PhD Awards receive a prize in the form of a diploma and a sum up to 500 Euro to cover travel costs and/or accommodation for attending a research conference. In addition, BUP will also cover travel costs and accommodation for presenting the research during one of the BUP events. Read their abstracts in our Research Notes Letter.
