Call for Interests: 2nd Workshop on the Environmental Impact and Economic Sustainability of Nord Stream 2 and Other Sub-Marine Natural Gas Pipelines

The IUSDRP are currently planning the "2nd Workshop on the Environmental Impact and Economic Sustainability of Nord Stream 2 and Other Sub-Marine Natural Gas Pipelines". The event will be held in, Lviv, Ukraine, on 13th-14th May 2020. It is organised by the Ukraine National Forestry University and the Inter-University Sustainable Development Research Programme.
The aim of the event is to cater for scientific assessments and discussions of the environmental impacts, microeconomic efficiency, and macroeconomic sustainability of North Stream 2 and other sub-marine natural gas pipelines. The event will also discuss the sustainability of such projects and the possible environmental and economic problems they are associated with.
Selected papers will be discussed at the event, and subsequently submitted to high caliber journals. The Symposium will be interest to experts in the fields of geology, climatology, limnology, biochemistry, wildlife ecology, conservation biology, and related natural sciences. Experts on economics, international relations and political sciences will also benefit from the event.
Expressions of interest to contribute to the Symposium, initially consisting of a 200 words abstract with the full contact details of the authors, should be sent to the Inter- University Sustainable Development Programme at: iusdrp@ls.haw-hamburg.de by 30th October 2019. Full papers are due by 20th February 2020. Further details will be discussed with the authors.
