Visit by Lithuanian Ambassador

The Lithuanian ambassador to Sweden Mr Eitvydas Bajarūnas visited Uppsala University and the BUP secretariat on Friday 21 September. The ambassador pointed out that Lithuania will be the holder of the Presidency of the Council of the European Union in the latter half of 2013. He added that this could be a good opportunity to enhance student exchange and cooperation between Sweden and Lithuania and the other countries within the BUP framework.

The conference also aims to encourage the ongoing debate on the issues of smart (based on knowledge and innovation), sustainable (resource efficient, green), inclusive (keeping high-employment, social and territorial cohesion) regional competitiveness.
