The Sustainable Water Management course is a master level course in the Baltic University Programme offered by Uppsala University on the Internet for all English speaking students with a background of at least one year of environmental science studies (i.e., earth science, agriculture, forestry etc).

Course details:
Period: 21 January – 7 June 2013, half time studies (expect 20 hours work per week)
Prerequisites: Two years unversity studies (120 ECTS), including one year (60 ECTS) of environmental science studies. English language certificate TOEFL/IELTS/Cambridge ESOL.
Computer/data communication: You need regular access to a computer with an Internet connection and Skype.
Credits: 15 ECTS credits at Uppsala University.
Costs: The course is free for students from the EU countries and also for students from Baltic University partner universities.

Textbooks are studied using an e-learning platform; Students work in small groups, using a virtual discussion forum; teachers are available via the net.
The 15 ECTS credit course has three modules:
1. The waterscape 4,5 ECTS
2. Water use and management 4,5 ECTS
3. River basin management 6 ECTS
